Oran Pryor is a Certified Anger Management Specialist and Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor. He is a graduate of the University of Texas Southwestern School of Allied Health and Dallas Baptist University. He has over 19 years of experience working with men in correctional treatment and 13 years with adolescent boys with behavioral problems in community mental health settings. Mr. Pryor specializes in marriage and family counseling, as well as substance abuse and addiction treatment.
It is his mission to provide specialized service, through the integration of sound psychological and relational principles. As a Christian counselor, Mr. Pryor believes in a holistic approach to treatment that integrates the...spirit, mind and body.
In response to school dropout rates, delinquency, substance abuse and lack of vocational and educational development, particularly with boys. It is his contention that this growing problem can be resolved through Life Skills Training (Anger Control, Building Responsible Beliefs and Social Skills). Mr. Pryor understands the correlation between behavioral difficulties and mental/emotional health problems. Therefore, it is his mission to provide specialize services (individual, family, group), that foster responsible and mature growth. He aims to equip male youth with the skills necessary to succeed in skillful living as they mature into manhood.
Rosalyn Pryor, M.S., CCC-SLP, PLLC has been dedicated to helping and empowering families who have children with language and learning disabilities for over 20 years. Mrs. Pryor holds a Master of Science degree from Texas Woman's University in Communication Sciences. She is a licensed speech-language pathologist and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). In addition, Mrs. Pryor is a also an educational diagnostician and consultant.
Mrs. Pryor has assessed children and adults for suspected disabilities in numerous settings including public and private schools, rehabilitation facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, colleges and in private practice. Mrs. Pryor has completed the Schools Attuned - Generalist Path offered by All Kinds of Minds. She has also worked as an assessment specialist on the multi-disciplinary team at the Luke Waites Child Development Center at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. She has diagnosed children with oral language disorders and learning disabilities including developmental dyslexia.
In addition, Mrs. Pryor is a seasoned pediatric therapy manager/director. She has vast experience with the supervision and mentoring of speech therapy assistants as well as clinical fellows. Ms. Pryor is also a Certified VitalStim - Pediatric provider which helps which is a dynamic and innovative program that has revolutionizing dysphagia therapy. Since 2008, Ms. Pryor has held several supervisory and managerial / director positions with Sante Pediatric Services (now Epic Pediatric Services). Mrs. Pryor has been responsible for the management of 80+ therapists and supervisors.
Mr. & Mrs. Pryor have been married for 23 years and have two children in college.
